Au gratin green rice
Prepare, experiment and try a delicious and spectacular flavor with this recipe of au gratin green rice.
ingredients
1 cup Extra long grain rice Verde Valle®
2 poblano chillis, grilled, peeled and deveined
1 garlic clove
½ onion
3 cups water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon chicken soup powder
Salt
___AU GRATIN
2 thick ham slices
4 American cheese slices
5 tablespoons of cream
PREPARATION
GRIND chillis with garlic, onion and a cup of water. HEAT oil in a thick pot and fry rice until it gets shiny and transparent. When this happens pour the chilli mixture, chicken soup powder and salt to your taste. LET it fry for 5 minutes or until it resects, then pour the rest of the water. Let boil and reduce heat. Cook until all liquid consumes and rice gets soft and cooked. REMOVE from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Grease a container and pour the rice in. Cover with ham, cream and cheese and cook until cheese melts.
