1 cup Morelos rice Verde Valle®

2 tablespoons oil

2 cups water

2 tablespoons chicken soup powder

½ onion finely chopped

1 green pepper, without seed and chopped

1 "chile jalapeño", without seeds and chopped

2 tomatoes, without seeds and chopped

½ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon cummin powder

½ cup cilantro, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, finely chopped

PREPARATION

RINSE rice with warm water until it looks clear, drain and settle. In a hot pan heat the oil over medium heat, add rice, cook until it begins to get brown, move with a wood spatula so it can´t stick with rice. ADD onion, garlic, pepper and jalapeño. Cook for 3 minutes and add water, chicken soup, pepper, cummin and tomatoes. Cover the pan and let it boils for 10 minutes. After this time, reduce heat and add cilantro. BOIL for another 15 minutes. When rice has been cooked and liquid consumed, take away from heat. SERVE hot.
